SplitLine

Privacy Policy

Last updated 8 November 2026

SplitLine is a sports research app made by Matthew Panton (Panton Studio). You can use it without an account. It sends us usage statistics and crash reports under random codes, which you can turn off in More → Privacy. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we keep an account with the email they confirm, and no name or password. If you write to us in Help & feedback, we keep your messages, and your email only if you give it. If you buy SplitLine Pro, Apple or Google Play takes the payment and RevenueCat, our subscription service, tells us your plan. If you allow notifications, our server keeps what it needs to send your alerts. We send news and offers only if you turn them on. We don't sell data, show ads or track you across other apps.

What stays on your phone

Your settings are kept on your phone: the state, sportsbooks and teams you pick, your odds format, your alert choices and your recent searches. The state is also sent with the requests that need it, so bet links point to your state's sportsbooks. Once you allow notifications, a copy of some of this goes to our server for your alerts (below). Your date of birth is checked on the phone to confirm you're 21 or over and is never stored or sent; only the result is kept.

Alerts

If you allow notifications, SplitLine registers your phone with our server so it can tell you when a starred prop's line moves, when a starred player or one on your teams changes status, when a saved filter finds a new prop, and a day before a free trial of Pro would renew. For that our server keeps:

Alerts reach an iPhone through Apple's push service and an Android phone through Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging, which carry each alert's text to your phone. Signing out or deleting your account deletes all of it from our server; while notifications stay on, the phone then registers again, without an account. A phone that hasn't opened SplitLine in 120 days is forgotten. Turning notifications off for SplitLine in your phone's settings stops alerts at once.

Usage statistics

Unless you turn them off, the app sends us usage statistics so we can see what works and what doesn't. They're filed under a random code the app makes for nothing else, and include:

We don't store your IP address with them, and they never include your account, your name or your email. Raw events are kept for 120 days; daily totals made from them (counts, not individual events) are kept longer, and a copy of the raw events is kept for later analysis under a scrambled form of the random code.

Turning them off in More → Privacy → Usage statistics stops them and asks our server to delete what it holds under your code. The phone then discards the code, so archived copies made before that can no longer be linked back to your phone.

Crash reports

When the app crashes or hits an error, it sends a report to Sentry, our crash-reporting service, which handles it for us. A report holds the error, your device model and operating system, the app version, and a random code Sentry's software makes for the install. The app leaves your IP address and any sign-in tokens out of the report. Crash reports follow the same switch as usage statistics.

Your account

An account is only made if you choose to sign in, in More → Account, with Apple or Google. We keep:

If you sign in with Apple, we may also keep, encrypted, a token Apple gives us, only so that deleting your account can tell Apple to end SplitLine's sign-in.

There's no password: Apple or Google confirm who you are each time.

Buying SplitLine Pro

SplitLine Pro is a subscription bought through Apple on iPhone, or Google Play on Android, after you sign in. The store takes the payment under its own terms and privacy policy; your card details never reach the app or us. RevenueCat, a subscription service, handles the purchase for us: it receives your random account number, the receipt the store signs (which plan, its price, and when it started, renews or ends), and your device's model, operating system, app version and store country. It tells our server whether your account has Pro, and our server keeps your plan and when it ends with your account, as above. What you do on the paywall (opening it, picking a plan, buying) is part of the usage statistics above; renewals and cancellations, which come from RevenueCat, are counted under a random code made for each one, never your account.

You manage or cancel the subscription with the store that sold it, in More → Account → Manage subscription, your iPhone's Settings or the Play Store. Deleting your account also deletes your RevenueCat record, but doesn't cancel the subscription: cancel it with the store first, or it keeps renewing.

Deleting your account in More → Account → Delete account removes all of the above at once, your email included, tells Apple to end the sign-in where we can, and deletes the usage statistics from that phone. Signing out ends the session on that phone.

Help & feedback

When you write to us in More → Help & feedback, the app sends:

Messages are kept in our support inbox, which runs on Cloudflare, until you ask us to delete them. They aren't deleted with your account, because they aren't linked to it: to have them deleted, ask in Help & feedback or email us.

Email

We use your email to help with your account when you write to us, and to send notices about your account, your plan, or changes to this policy. We send news and offers (new features, launches, Pro offers) only if you turn them on in More → Account → Email, and you can turn them off there or with the link in any such email. Your email is never sold, and never shared with sportsbooks or advertisers. If we start using a service to send email, it will be named in the next section before the first message goes out.

Who else sees data

The odds and stats in the app come from a data provider; nothing about you is sent to it. Like any server, ours see the IP address of each request; it's used to limit abuse and isn't kept in our databases. The support inbox keeps a scrambled form of it for a day, to limit how many messages one connection can send.

Age

SplitLine is for adults 21 and over and isn't meant for children. It asks for your date of birth before you start, as described above.

Who's responsible for your data

Matthew Panton, who makes SplitLine as Panton Studio in the United States, decides how the data described here is used and is responsible for it (its controller). Write to [email protected] with any question or request.

Your choices and requests

You can turn off usage statistics and crash reports, sign out, or delete your account in the app at any time, and ask us in Help & feedback to delete your messages. To ask about or delete anything we hold, or for anything else about privacy, email [email protected]. Write from the address your account shows in More → Account, or tell us that address, so we can find your account. If you use Apple's Hide My Email, that's the address it shows there.

Changes

If the app starts collecting something new, this page is updated first, and the date at the top changes.
